1月22日，Applikon生物技术公司技术总裁Erik Kakes教授到天津工生所进行学术交流和访问，副所长孙际宾主持报告。在访问期间，Erik Kakes教授应邀作了题为“Scale up of bioreactor systems & Industry trends”的报告。

在报告中，Erik Kakes教授详细介绍了生物反应器特别是搅拌式反应器放大的基本原则，并逐一分析了影响搅拌式反应器放大的几何特征、氧传递系数KLa、最大剪切力溶氧等各个关键因素。此外，Erik Kakes教授还从技术和应用层面，描述了搅拌式反应器在发酵工业领域中的发展应用趋势。

会后，在副所长孙际宾研究员的陪同下， Erik Kakes教授参观了院系统微生物工程重点实验室。（文/郭竹君）

Erik Kakes graduated in 1984 from van’t Hoff Institute in Rotterdam with specialization in Biochemistry.  From 1984 until 1988 he worked for a sugar producing company, Cosun, optimizing Xanthan gum production. In 1988 he joined Applikon Biotechnology as a project manager. Via the R&D department he moved into Sales to become International Sales & Marketing Director. In 2008 he acquired the ownership of Applikon Biotechnology with Arthur Oudshoorn and Jaap Oostra through a management buyout.
